I lived in Nayoro, Hokkaido in Northern Japan for the first 18 years of my life. I learned how to do woodblock prints as a child as it was the folk tradition to make New Years cards, often depicting the Zodiac. Gradually, I started to make prints about other themes in my life.

This collection spans over a twenty-six year period.

I am now a mother of two and work as a registered midwife and my art gets sprinkled in between.

If you are interested in any of these prints please contact me. I am particularly interested in illustrating children''s books.

I hope you enjoy my gallery as you listen to my shakuhachi.
